Day 9: Florence
Saying goodbye to Venice.
Andy has been on the hunt for playing cards all week! Big win!
My family always plays baba rummy, I don’t know if it’s a real game or not.
Live stats for our trip down to Florence.
Andy is running the numbers on our current speed, not bad!
McDonald’s is way more interesting here. Not super proud of to be getting it a third time but that’s ok.
Did another luggage locker for all our stuff. The couple before us was taking all there stuff out of a locker complaining that everything was wet then it assigned us that same locker.
Popular building to look at here.
View from this museum.
Looks like my friend, Alex Dettloff.
Enough sculptures in here that a tourists vs sculpture war would be close.
Gin and tonics on the patio.
Rooftop patio, that is.
I know I’ve seen this one before.
The tour is starting in Italy this year I guess!
The vibe changed up like instantaneously. Guys in tights were everywhere.
Where do I sign up for this?
There was a good chuck of the day where Derek and I just sat in the plaza tanning hams and drinking beers. Talked to a guy from Austin who was avoiding his wife and two daughters. He was cool.
Found this great little spot for dinner though. Google maps doesn’t miss.
We have this in the short north.
Yep, seen it.
You know the drill.
So far, Florence has been extremely busy.
Hoping to get up early and explore some before the crowds come out.
We should get to see David tomorrow.
Found some quiet areas to walk around before calling it a night. Thanks for reading my blog today. I’ve gotten some complaints about the comments section being gibbled. Spent a few minutes flipping around some settings so please comment below a sauce you’ve put on a sandwich before and we’ll see if any come through.
Ciao!
