Day 11: Sorrento
Massive congratulations to EF EasyPost rider, Lachlan Morton, on the win at Unbound. No one I’d rather see win. Wishing the best for Keegan Swenson. Not exactly sure what happened but my dream seems pretty accurate.
Today we saw the majority of the Amalfi Coast by van. It’s like their Highway 1.
First of three stops included a second cappuccino.
Talk about heavy equipment!
I’d say that Makita looks a little questionable. Liam?
This is the second stop now. They have a variation on the spritz down here that is insanely lemony.
This would be me.
Our driver's name was Micheal. He was fun and did a lot of road raging in Italian.
Derek and I grabbed some pizza by the slice before loading onto this boat.
Pretty sure they said that Bill Gates owns that one.
The whole area seems like a terrible place to try to build anything but they’re doing it.
I probably don’t need a sailboat but sometimes it really feels like I do. Where do you draw the line between a need and a want?
Final stop of the day. Could have taken more photos from the car but screens are a car sickness multiplier.
Ok see now we’re talking.
Prosciutto clothes drying rack.
Restaurants where every item starts with “our interpretation of” are risky. Now sure how excited Andy was about this lasagna.
The view was nice though!
I’ll say it, the two tone is nice.
Loading back into the van when Andy realized he left his replacement bag at the restaurant. Derek ran and got it.
Got to sit up front this time. Bonding with Micheal over the Giro de Italia. He said the race came up over this pass a few years ago.
View of the volcano is nice. Down there is San Marzano where the best the best canned tomatoes come from.
Derek’s bag retrieval earned us some beers.
And above are the pigeons, always ready to fuck your life up.
First affogato of the trip, wow!
Saw this cat on our walk down to the beach. Derek is still missing Bill.
Lots of people out!
Almost asked if this was a girl beer but wasn’t sure that’d make it over the language barrier.
This is the only public beach in town. People complain that it’s trashy and full of ignorant tourists, but these people probably haven’t seen Lake Erie.
What do I need to do to hangout with these guys?
This beer is very similar to something we drank a lot of in Spain. Very refreshing.
Trying to decide if we should sit on the beach tomorrow morning or go for a hike.
A couple from New York had Derek take their picture which he hates. Fun to observe. Sunset was nice!
Walking back to the airbnb and randomly you will see these zones that are just like bottomless pits. Makes you wonder what this town is built on. Thanks for reading my blog today. I’d love to hear in the comments about some things that you need or some things that you want. Next stop is Rome!
Ciao!

Order Andy a "Tile". I'm sure Amazon ships to Rome, and he will never lose his stuff again. Win, win. But don't tell Derrick, I'm sure he loved getting a run in for Andy. Slut, question mark?
