Day 8: Spritz Boys

Derek and I planned a big walking route for today.

I took this photo to show my coworker, Tim. He loves eating snails. He always tells me, “wash them good or they’ll make you sick as hell” as if I’m going to make them.

I’ve been seeing these everywhere.

Derek stole this apple from the host then was pissed about the lack of trash cans in Venice.

Pistachio croissant and cappuccino.

Watch out, Barnum's.

Some morning sun. Forecast said rain all day. Don’t listen to negative people in your life,

Some of the construction here is questionable, lots of leaning buildings.

Handing buckets of rubble through this window.

The boats were popping off this morning.

Lots of close calls.

I’d love to see a jets ski here. Seems obvious.

A sight for sore eyes.

This is a McToast, very ok ham and cheese sandwich smashed in the press. Do these people know about bacon and just withhold or like what. I think they have the technology.

They are charging 16 euros for an Aperol spritz in this stupid plaza. Derek and I have been drinking them for 3.50 every night (with free potato chips!).

This whole city is sinking/fucked but no one is talking about it.

Another old ass church. Apparently they stole Mark’s bones and buried them in the foundation of this place.

This lady was powering up.

Pesto tortellini brought me back to life. My policy for this trip has been like, red sauce is for pizza.

Spritz pit stop, followed by a cappuccino.

Andy trying the Spritz again just to mock it. He calls them radiator fluid.

If you give these birds one fucking inch you are so fucked.

They are literally winged up rats.

Bro if those are real, blast a cannon one time.

Refreshing but if you’re taking the Red Bull form factor you need to bring something special.

Derek showing me some NFT art exhibit thing. I guess I didn’t really get it. Cool gallery though.

Walking back to that plaza place for another museum thing.

They really deliver everywhere damn.

Probably the best thing I saw all day.

View from the museum window.

More museum windows.

Always stresses me out thinking about how long this would take.

Derek’s take on the museum was “it’s crazy to think about how dumb people probably were 400 years ago.”

Tallest and most famous bridge. Absolutely crawling.

Here’s where we walked.

Racking up some steps. Very excited for this year’s competition with Derek, Sam, Liam, and Quinn.

This post had Jean absolutely cracking up. Well I’m saying that Venice is nice! Heard lots of talk about trash and smells but it’s not true. Anyway, thanks for reading my blog today. I’d love to hear some political banter down in the comments if you have anything to share!

Ciao!
